Palladium Portfolio

This past semester, I took a class at O.C. called Expressive Photography. I didn't know much about it, other than that it was a requirement for my degree. So I was pretty shocked when they rolled out the view cameras for us to check out. They look similar to this:
dream Pictures, Images and Photos
Yano, the whole gettin under the dark cloth, puttin giant negatives in and pullin out the slide to expose. Wasn't all that excited in the beginning, but it really grew on me in 4 months. I was sad to give "the beast" back last week.
With these big negatives, we contact-printed them in a process called Palladium. It's a really long and tedious printing process, but it's extremely rewarding. I honestly don't think I've ever seen anything like it. There's just something about it that is absolutely incredible and interesting. I chose to keep the edges and the spots and lines for viewing on here because I really prefer it and think it makes things just a little more interesting. And authentic :)

Kylie and Cubby's Engagement Photos

Kylie and Cubby tied the knot on May 8th and I was fortunate enough to get to take their engagement photos a couple months ago. As always, we had an awesome time and I was lovin how they were representin the wedding colors with their shirts (always knew Kylie would throw some lime green into her wedding :)  ) Kylie loves her some bright colors, so that's kinda what I was goin for here.
Anywho, Kylie and I have know each other since we were like 5. We've gone from Barbies to boys together! And Cubby...Well, he's like a brother to me. So this was a really special shoot to me, to say the least! I pray that their lives together will be full of many blessings. I love you guys!

Ray and Antonina

My friend Kyle Thompson and I are teaming up to shoot Ray and Antonina's wedding on May 22nd. It's pretty awesome that they didn't mind seeing each other before the ceremony - takes sooo much pressure off of the us and them! Antonina is from Russia and she's is absolutely stunning, as you can tell. We really had a great time during this session and these two are very creative and had lots of great ideas of their own and were so much fun to photograph.
